This policy covers the Stoia website: the pages, guides, and calculators on getstoia.com. The Site is operated by Semantics Studio Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as Semantics; references to "Stoia", "we", or "us" mean Semantics Studio Inc. The Stoia app is not yet launched; when it launches, it will have its own privacy policy covering connected financial accounts, and this page will link to it.

What we collect

  • Basic usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and device type. We use it only to see which content helps people; it is not used for advertising, and we do not build individual profiles.
  • Email you send us. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and improve the site.
  • Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure records basic request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations. These logs are not used to profile you.

What we don't collect

  • Calculator inputs. Every number you type into our calculators is processed entirely in your browser. It is never transmitted to our servers, stored, or seen by us.
  • Advertising or data sales. No ad networks, no sale of personal information, not now, not planned.

Who we share data with

Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics on our behalf, and the site is hosted on Amazon Web Services; both act as service providers, not owners of your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone. We would disclose information only if legally required to do so.

Your rights

You may request a copy or deletion of any personal information we hold about you (which, for this website, is at most correspondence you sent us) by writing to the address below. Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK (GDPR), these rights may be backed by statute; we honor the requests regardless of where you live.

Data retention & security

Correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for answering you and improving the site. The site is served over HTTPS, and access to any personal information is limited to the Stoia team.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
