What exactly is a workspace?
A self-contained space with its own accounts, budgets, goals, and members. Your personal workspace is always yours alone. A household workspace is fully shared with a partner. A roommates workspace shares only the accounts and expenses you put in it.
Can my partner see my personal accounts?
No. Workspaces have real boundaries: what's in your personal space stays private, even from household members. You choose what lives where, and you can move things later.
How is this different from sharing one login?
Shared logins mean shared everything: no privacy, no history of who did what, and one password for two people. In Stoia each person has their own account and joins the spaces they belong to, which is safer and saner.
How do roommate workspaces handle rent and utilities?
Put the shared expenses in the roommates workspace, and everyone sees what's due and who has paid. Personal finances never enter the space. When someone moves out, they leave the workspace; nobody has to untangle a joint account.
Is there a workspace for a small business?
A business workspace (invoicing, tax categories, P&L) is planned after launch for freelancers and solo founders, alongside your personal space in the same app.
